The fig trees are blossoming;
summer is around the corner
Time is running out; we can't wait any longer
Prophecies are coming to pass;
devastation is all around
Earthquakes, terrorism and mudslides
have buried whole towns
Famine and war- tsunamis and hurricanes,
How far apart are the earth's birth pains?
Are we even getting a chance to breathe before
the earth's contractions come again?
Look up, for our redemption might be
nearer than you think, my friend
Many false prophets and teachers have proclaimed
that all will be well and fine
Preaching deluded sermons, filling their listeners
with false hopes and lies
Some proclaim "abundant blessing and prosperity,"
while they imitate another counterfeit revival wave
Jesus said in the word, "Only those who
endure to the end will be saved
and that in the end times many will fall away."
Christians will suffer hardship and many trials
as the end draws near
Luke 21 says, the people of the world will faint with
terror and be overcome by fear
Jesus asked us to pray that we will escape the hour
of testing that is to come
Redemption will be ours only if we believe
and keep our faith in Jesus, GOD'S SON
Does anyone know what it means to endure?
It doesn't mean we will be showered in riches
and prosperity that is for sure!
If you have read the word,
what I am saying should be no surprise
We can't wait any longer; the church is headed
for some very rough times
How many of us are ready for the battle in
the last day evil onslaught?
How many will brave the persecution, when for
the name of Christ they are hurled into court?
How many of us will endure the fiery ordeal
when our faith is tried?
How many of us are ready to be hated and killed
because we bear the name of Christ?
What will big wealthy churches do
with their fancy buildings
when Christians have to gather underground?
What will financial prosperity do for us
when all we have built
with our human hands comes crashing down?
Crystal cathedrals, expensive cars
and impressive waterfalls
Won't mean a thing to us, when that last trumpet calls
Sound systems, colourful lighting
and affects will seem very dim
When we see the Glory of the Lord and
the brilliant Power and Light of Him
We can sing our worship songs and make
all the noise we like
But are we ready to go through the furnace
and have our faith tested by fire?
The church is still sleeping, wrapped up in her bed
of comfort and pleasure
We can't wait any longer! Its time to wake up,
unite and come together!
Satan is furious; his reign on earth
is nearly over and done
He will be killing, stealing and destroying in full force,
for he knows his end is about to come
We can't wait any longer; the time is now,
to rise up and be strong
The end of all things is near;
it wont be very long!
No one knows the day or the hour,
Jesus said, He will come like a thief in the night
We can't wait any longer! Its time to get our hearts right
In these disasters, thousands have faced tragedy
and are suffering
We can't wait any longer to share the Truth
and give Hope to a world that is dying.
Thousands of people are lined up in the hallways of hell,
waiting for their eternal punishment to be served
Fire and torment consuming their souls;
for them the lake of fire has already been reserved
Many more will die; many more will suffer
like never before in history
We can't wait any longer; we must wake up
and get the gospel preached
Look around; can you see that summer is around the corner?
Can you hear Jesus knocking on your hearts door?
Do you think He may be rising from His throne,
preparing Himself to meet His bride?
Are we ready if He comes while we are sleeping tonight?
Are we watching and waiting?
Are we looking up now, anticipating?
Or are we still concerned with our earthly pleasures
and still asking God for abundant prosperity?
What we should be asking God for is to prosper our souls
and to grow us up spiritually.
Wealth, fame, popularity and all our earthly success
Will do nothing for us
when our faith is tried and put to the test.
We should ask ourselves, "Where have we got our security?"
Are we secure in God, or are we only secure in what we see?
If our lives are not built on the Rock of Christ,
in the last days we will not stand
If Christ is not our foundation, our lives will
crumble like castles built on sand
We cannot wait for a revival and for some
new wave of the Spirit to come
We must get ready now, and prepare
for what needs to be done
If you know the truth, what I have written
should be no surprise!
Wake up! Its time we all opened our eyes
Get dressed in Gods Armour; array yourself
in spiritual battle gear
Rise up in faith and courage; this is no time
to shrink back in fear!
Be bold and bravely fight the good fight
Shout in a voice of triumph; shout aloud a victory cry!
We cannot wait; time is running out
We cannot wait! Wake Up and Look Up NOW!
