This poem brought me great comfort as I wrote it... I hope it also brings comfort to those who may be going through a fierce and frightening storm. The boat may rock, the waves may be swamping the boat, and it seems that Jesus is asleep, oblivious to what is going on. He knows exactly what's going on... FEAR is the opposite to FAITH... Sometimes storms come to deepen our FAITH, and can be used to wash away the FEAR...



THERE IS NO NEED TO FEAR

Christ is in me

The Holy Spirit will guide and lead me

No one can snatch me out of Jesus' hand

If I am lost, He will find me

If I am on the wrong path, He will turn me around

If I faint along the journey, He will carry me

There is no need to FEAR

Beneath me are His everlasting arms

Around me are His wings

And His banner of love is Over me

From head to toe, I am covered, protected and safe

There is no need to FEAR

The Lord goes before me

He is my rear guard

He sends His angels concerning me

To lift me up in their hands

If God is for me, who can be against me

There is no need to FEAR

I am redeemed and sanctified

I am chosen and justified

I am forgiven and cleansed by Jesus' blood

I am a child of the Living God

There is no need to FEAR

I have the Hope of eternal life

I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ

God has got a great future

And wonderful plans for me

There is no need to FEAR

Safe, secure, protected,

Cherished and adored

Loved, valued, and greatly assured

There is no need to FEAR

Because my life, is in the hands of the Lord

And when this life is over, and this

Journey has come to an end

I will finally get to meet, Jesus face to face

My Saviour, my Redeemer, my Lord and Friend

There is no need to FEAR
